The Club at Irish Creek was just named to the prestigious Golfweek list of America's best new golf Golfcourses.

The 18-hole "Club at Irish" course at the Club At Irish Creek facility in Kannapolis, North Carolina features 6,847 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.4 and it has a slope rating of 127 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by Monroe Maulden/(R)Davis Love, the Club at Irish golf course opened in 2007. Jeff Austin manages the course as the Club Manager.

The Club at Irish Creek is a total remake of what was Kannapolis Country Club. The 55-year-old course is being developed into a 650-acre community by a major real estate firm, Castle & Cooke. It also is spending $1.5 billion to transform a 350-acre parcel in the old mill town of Kannapolis, 25 miles northeast of Charlotte, into a biomedical-research community.
