A day seldom goes by that I do not see one of my fellow Realtor friends. Some where in the conversation it comes up that perhaps we go and eat somewhere.
Those that know me know that I am not one for eating garbage food, or fast food. I would rather have some quality food verse quantity. I do have a hard time getting that animal pack of vitamins down each day. Living in a World of convenience can be difficult at times, and it gets easier everyday to eat wrong.
The general consensus is many of my friends have got caught up in convenience rather than pack a lunch. I for one think it would get pretty expensive eating out twice a day like some of them do.
Besides, sometimes time can be such a precious commodity.
My friends, well they tell me they like to go to the all you can eat horse troughs. You know the places that have several thousand types of food; mostly desserts. Great for blood sugar problems. Old Country buffets, Chinese buffets, buffets of this, buffets of that, and more buffets......
Perhaps it stems from not to long ago when I ate for convenience at a local national franchise. It took about 5 minutes before I could feel that the food was not sitting right. I thought to myself " I wonder if these people feel bad feeding me this kind of food?" The truth is I felt like McCrap all day.
Now I have the ability to ask my friends to at least walk somewhere to eat. This way it may offset things. Surprisingly enough some had said that they were going to eat more sensibly. Music to my ears I thought. My friends will live longer, and besides, twenty or thirty years ago it was never a problem; now I even think of the stuff and I put on two pounds. It's nice to see past and present individuals I do business with being more aware of their health. I meet some great inspirations each day. The smile that comes across someone's face that has made a change in their life can not be ignored. It rubs off, and makes you feel good.
Hats off to my Real Estate friends for making a conciese decision. I am proud of you for taking care of yourselves, and it is never too late for change, or working out.
