This post has NOTHING to do with that...
It is about grabbing the reader's attention. That is what titles do. But, once that attention is grabbed, the job isn't over. Attention must be held, and it is a heavy wiggly load.
Content is King... but being the King with no Kingdom isn't much of a conquest. Attention... readership creates the Kingdom. The attention that readers lavish upon a post bring it to life. They give it an opinion. They make it breathe.
When you have 2000 or 20,000 or 200,000 people subscribed to you, it isn't tough to bring in enough attention to make the post or blog or site live its own life... but when you onlyhave a few subscribers, achieving that vibrance isn't so easy.
So, use some tricks... occasionally.
I know that I will grab a few readers with this... and i know that some of those will click through to read some other posts... and I just might get a new reader.
Of course, I have to back this post up with some that are actually about what they say they are about. And I might even need to have a good one now and again.
