As College Football is in full swing and the Holidays are among us. I have officially started a new game. Perhaps you could call it my own personal competition. When I first started using Active Rain I did what most agents probably do and I started looking around to see what agents were active in my area. As I began my search I noticed that the pickings were slim. I couldn't understand why but, I thought hey wait a minute! I get points for everything I do. I can provide little tid-bits of information about things in my area and get points by doing it. I made it my goal to be number one in this area. We had a speaker come to our office and talk about the different ways to make your presence know on the Internet and one of the ways he talked about was Active Rain. He asked if anyone in the room was familiar with it. A couple of people raised their hands. He then began to pull the website up on his computer and pull our area up. At the top of the page were it shows who the number one agent for the area was, there for all my fellow agents to see both the new and the seasoned agents was MY PICTURE! Everyone in the room started clapping and I was probably beaming from ear to ear. I had won- right? Well last week I decided to go on- line which I do periodically to make sure I was still number one and much to my surprise there I was - Number 2. I thought oh no I don't think so! Someone has passed me by. I've got to find out who and how. I immediately contacted the other agent and told him he took my spot. We both laughed and basically decided the game was on. We both represent different companies in our area and I think he would agree we are both enjoying the competition. Think about it we compete for listings, We compete for customers, all at the same time we have a good working relationship. It's all good! My point is this: Find someone in your area and "Let the Game Begin!" It's kinda fun thinking of new and creative ways to share information and get points for it so give it a try and let me know how your doing in your area!

Dean Moss is in my office and he listened to me about blogging on Active Rain and I didn't do as much do to my building/sales schedule. We don't compete but we encourage. I just love reading his blogs.

Whoohooo this is going to be fun! I just about jumped on my motorcyle to ride but decided to log on for a few minutes, just think what I would have missed. Rp
