Estes Park is known for the Elk who wander throughout the town. The other day, as I was leaving my garage, I huge Bull Elk wandered down the road I live on.

Here is a picture for your to enjoy. You can find a few more pictures of this encounter with this Bull Elk in Estes Park.

Janette, The Elk are all over town all year long. The most popular spot to find the elk are on the two golf courses. Its also quite common to have elk and deer wonder through your front yard any day of the year. You should come visit Estes Park to see for yourself!

Erby, Its really not as bad as you think! We had a beautiful day with a high of about 40 here today and plenty of sunshine to go along with it. Estes Park actually enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year and is far warmer than western Colorado all winter long. I grew up in northwestern Wisconsin and the weather doesn't even come close to comparing.
