So the first week of official judging is here, finally. Jackie’s growth since we launched the blog just over 3 weeks ago has been staggering. Her stats below tell the story, but it is one specific announcement that we need to make that have us jumping for joy.
Jackie has generated her first bona fide inbound lead through her blogging efforts on RealEstateSizzle.com!
Yes, you read that correctly; in less than one month of blogging, we have started to generate leads on her real estate blogsite.
You may remember from last week’s review, Jackie is in Europe, so her team will be following up with her potential client, who is traveling from England to look at property in Tampa. That’s the price you pay when you are an international video blogging superstar.
Again, Jackie and I will be taking the next few weeks off from our Intense Success Session Courses because she is out of town, but that has not kept us from corresponding via email (everyday) and making tweaks to improve her blog.
Below is a breakdown of some of this 1st official week’s statistics and efforts for Real Estate Sizzle participation in Project Blogger.
Week Four - Training with the Tomato:
1. Design tweaks
In the footer, we are working on showcasing her video blogging archives. You will see we have uploaded the 4 she has now, and are training her to add subsequent videos in a snap. The footer will have a scroll to the left/right as you mouse over the videos, allowing you to pan through all the archives.
“Ask Jackie A Question” needed a tweaking as well. We created a page that explained the weekly contest she runs as well as automatically offering a chronological list of all the weekly winners. This way one can leave a comment and see the winners from one destination.
2. Core Topic Training
Your audience craves an understanding of the focus of your blog’s content. Although we didn’t have our weekly training course on the phone, as usual, I was able to get through to her via email with some examples of how to discipline herself and her blog’s content.
Three Tomato Articles cover this topic nicely, giving Jackie enough insight as to how to hone her message for her audience.
One of the most important goals with your business blogging needs to be RSS/Email Subscription. Staying on topic and carving out clear topics for your audience to browse will set their expectations, and help them recognize the value of their commitment.

3. Her homework
Besides blogging... As always, it's confidential, but I will say that she has an enormous resource organized to hone her blogging techniques.
4. New Statistic.
Jeff Turner found an interesting website online that allows one to have their website graded. Because he has decided that it might serve as a useful way to ‘grade’ our apprentices online efforts, we too decided to give it a try.
Jackie’s website grade: 77/100 – Click here to see the report.
