Monday Morning...Fairies and Pink Elephants

I live in California and we had Day Light Savings time yesterday. I think that's why I haven't quite got used to the time change yet. But an hour here or there....it's still Monday :) Very early as I write this, but Monday none -the-less.

Do you believe in Destiny? Have you ever had something happen, and later knew that a decision you made was the right one? That's how I felt yesterday when Active Rain didn't work. I laughed while many of you were having withdraws, and I laughed at how many people were on Twitter for the day :) I laughed more yesterday than in a long time, and that's because for the first time in a very long time I had made a conscious decision NOT to log on to AR without even knowing it was broken. I found out when I went on Twitter that AR was nothing but Proxy Errors .. LOL :) I can't even describe how exhilarating it was to have made a conscious decision not to log on, versus the ones that couldn't log on :) Social media....what would we do without it :)

Well, after my planned day was over I did log on....again a conscious choice, and apparently AR was fixed as I logged on quite easily. I went to a Post that was written by Sally on being tired of some of the opinionated behaviors we've seen here on AR lately, YOUR Online Presence: The Aftermath. Anyway one of the comments struck me as pretty funny.., and Sally came back saying she believes in Fairies. Now that hit my creative side, and I half-heartedly said why not make a Group that was free of all the opinionated stuff called Fairies and Pink Elephants....

Have a good day......oh, and the point of this Post...sometimes you just have to go with the flow. When we try to control others opinions or behaviors it is stressful at best. Spontaneous behaviors can be a lot of fun and is so much better for our mental health.

So today, just try to go with the flow, whatever that might be......

and you might find your own version of Fairies and Pink Elephants :)

I realized early on that AR was down. With the *&%#^** time change, it was about 5:00 a.m. when I noticed it. So, on with the day.

Hi Kathy,
I tried time and time again throughtout the day to get on--never got on before going to bed last night. This morning first thing -- photos were not loading but I see that has been corrected.

Fairies and pink elephants? You don't have enough on your plate? You are something, girl! Ok, I'm in.

I think this is the most favorite group of mine yet. I am all about this concept. So often I will stay in the shadows because of the Bull Crap that goes on and I just simply don't want to allow it to affect me. It means I am not a part of some times maybe I feel a little less connected. That is okay too because it is a conscience choice. I'm going to join this group. I would be most of my posts will qualify per the guidelines. Thanks for creating it.

Kathy, this is great, but I'm not sure I can just be .... I'm always waiting to be abused, if I have an opinion ... how will I ever learn to just be? :)

I'll have to go read the guidelines again, just in case.... but I will join and then see if it's safe. LOL :)

Cynthia- Wow I felt like I got a blow by blow account of AR's headache...I am so lucky I never even saw one Proxy Error....just watched Active Brad have one heart attack after another on Twitter-Just Kidding but he was out of sorts :) The only issue I had was no photos...and hey if you're only here for the photo....well the sure were disappointed LOL:) How was the little ones Halloween? Did you dress up?

Nannette- Thanks for being candid.....funny how some things born out of necessity actually have a use :) Your Posts are welcome any time....just as long as they aren't one of those very opinionated Posts or anything that wants to convince us why we should believe one way or another :)

I must say this though...I cannot control comments from others......:) Oh Pink Elephants dancing with Fairies....are they techi???

Sylvie- As I just said to Nannette I can't control comments..use your delete button my friend....with no qualms at all just delete. NO ONE SHOULD BE ABUSED on their Posts....by the Public or an AR Member. Weclome to a Group of people that don't want to be abused....let's just try to be Professionals with a love for life :)

Hi Kathy. I tried to get on AR for about an hour and a half yesterday and couldn't so I talked to Jennifer Bukaty for a little bit on facebook instead. :) I haven't read Sally's post yet, but I can almost be sure of what exactly she was talking about. Thanks for the smile this morning Kathy. :)

Pam- Ah so you were talking to someone in Oregon and I was talking to someone in Virginia......I stayed on Twitter way longer than I planned, but I had a lot of fun, and that made my Sunday a good one. George- The name came from a comment Sally made about believing in Fairies, and someone else saying something about Pink Elephants. The combination hit me as something pretty funny, so I told Sally I would join a Group with that name.....and well there you go....a New Group with the strangest Guidelines but I laughed myself silly the whole time :) Amazing what can entertain us at times......LOL :)

Kathy - You are very creative indeed, looking at your new group and your outside blog. Wish you the best success in your new group that I'll plan on joining because I'm always looking for positives. I did not even know that AR was down yesterday, because I was going and going from morning til night.

I know what you mean. I was away from AR all day with my daughter...so I did not know it was down until I read some of the posts about it. I was VERY happy when I came back and was able to share my post about my daughter. I always say that we LOVE our technology...until it doesn't work. Then, it almost feels like a cruel joke.

We had a great time--we had friends in town for the evening. I did not dress up just escorted a very cute pink poodle and Ariel. What did you do?

Petra-I think it's fair to say I'm creative...but whether it's good creative or not is another issue...LOL :) There are a lot of Positive people on here, and I have mostly been able to avoid the negatives. Not totally, but mostly :) And Welcome to Fairies and Pink Elephants......

Elizabeth- Once again, it worked out.....and I am glad that it was working when you needed to put that Post up there. As I said both of you are in my prayers.

Cynthia-Nice....a Poodle and Ariel that's a combination :) I didn't do much but did get to enjoy alot of creative costumes, and excited children :) I did eat too much Halloween Candy, and my Grandkids all gave me some of my favorites.....gotta love the Grandkids :)

Hi Kathy, I did some things Sunday I haven't done in forever....I washed my SUV myself and I went to see a movie. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed both of those activities so much.

Hi Kathy, I noticed AR was down Sunday and kept trying all day and contacted other people. I was relieved it was not just my computor having problems. But I did realize it is becoming habit forming. You have a great imagination and I love the title for your new group.

How can you go with the flow if you tend towards being a control freak? LOL. Though I must say, sometimes it's nice just to let everything go.

Christine- Ahh now that is a great question.....one that we know the answer, but just have to ask anyway.....:) Going with the flow is very hard for control freaks, I know as I had to work hard at it...and I must say I win more times than not anymore.
