WHY DOES MY PHONE KEEP RINGING?

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential

What is going on here?

Why does my phone keep ringing?

This isn't the way I work.

Most of my time I spend keeping busy.  You know...

Marketing.  Blogging.  Farming.  Reading.  Emailing.  Learning.  Networking.  Calling.  Smiling...

But honestly, very little qualified customer activity.

Actually working with real live buyers and selllers of homes.  The type of work Realtors get paid for.

But now, its November 3rd, 2008, and I have been on the run for 3 weeks.  My schedule is filling up with actual client appointments.  How strange?  What is going on?

I'm freaked out.  If I am not careful, I will actually get paid.  I thought I was just doing this for fun.

Shouldn't people be thinking about the election, the lousy economy, the stock market, and what they will be serving with their turkey for Thanksgiving?

But for some reason, they are all calling me.  A Realtor.

Don't they know the housing market stinks?

Why are my services suddenly in such demand?

What is going on?

Why does my phone keep ringing?

Your phone keeps ringing because this is the BOTTOM for real estate values in Naperville and the buyers know it (I am one of them)!  I suspect all the bad economic news is out.  The reason I just bought is because it is my feeling that these are the best prices before the winter months when many sellers pull their properties off the market.  I thought if I waited until spring, there would be more buyer (and higher prices).

Ken, Could it be that it is due to all of the work that you have been doing that is bringing forward this reward?

Hi Barbara, Jerry, Don, Judy, and Paul.  Thanks for reading.

I am counting my blessings.

Perhaps hard work being paid off, perhaps the market has improved.

Either way, it feels good to be working with real buyers and sellers.

Thanks again everyone,

Ken

Hi Paula, Stephen, and Shirley.  Thanks for reading.

Paula, I am glad I brightened your day just a bit.  We all have tough days.

Stephen, the flyers have created only indications of interest, while blogging seems to be creating a bit of excitement.  Both probably raise my confidence.  Without reaching out to new people, we are stuck with those that we have, and we can feel helpless.

My blogging and flyer hanging allow me to add more prospects to the pipeline.  Those will probably lead to business in the future.  I have been working an ever growing database of prospects for 3 years.  Several seem to  becoming ripe at the same time.

I guess if you continue to grow your number of prospects, some eventually come due.

Thanks everyone,

Ken

Ken good for you. It is a great thing when the phone keeps ringing especially in this market. If only more folks would listen to us about AR they would have the same problem.
