Last Thursday evening I had the pleasure to attend a cocktail reception with the Young Friend's of The Ballet of Florida. It was alovely night and the affair was held out side in the tropical garden and veranda at the Hibiscus House. I had never been to the Bed and Breakfast before and it was like being in Key West of Caroline street at a bed and breakfast. The two houses were built in 1917 and moved South Rosemary Ave in 1996. The Van Valkenburg Home is one of the best last remaining example in West Palm Beach of frame vernacular architecture.
The location is just one block from City Place and short trolley ride to Clematis Street and every thing West Palm Beach as to offer. So if you are craving for a little bit of laid back Key West with out the drive stop in for a cocktail and look the place over.
