Big EarsI have thought long and hard sometimes what separates some who achieve big dreams whether in real estate or life and I have concluded

IT ALL IS BETWEEN THE EARS.

They dream big. They execute on a plan. The dismiss fear in their lives. They go for it. Those great sailing ships were not meant to stay in the docks but rather to be tossed on the open seas with the salt spray in your face and the sails filled with the wind.

At some point in our life we need to learn to think big. We only go round once you know.

Have confidence in yourself. Have dedication to your dreams. Have fun. Do you think this Basset Hound is not having a good day? He is enjoying life to the max. Free yourself from limiting beliefs by not only positive affirmations looking in the mirror each day saying boy you're good looking, and wow you're good, but nail some sheepskins to the wall with things you have accomplished.

You'll feel better and you'll know the grandest and most wonderful universe in the world is found between those two ears. Even if they are a bit floppy. But loveable nonetheless.

Hi Gary, this is my mantra.  I keep the good thoughts in and the bad stuff at bay.  So far it has worked wonders for me.  There will always be good and bad we just have to decided how we are going to deal with it.  Love the photo.

Agreed Gary.  I'm always surprised by how few people refuse to dream or think that dreaming is a waste of time.

Gary - I'd rather think between the ears than find myself walking around with my tail between my legs like a dog that didn't execute much of a plan and feels shameful for not thinking big.

Gary, Perfect picture to go with your wonderful post!  I have to agree, if you don't think big for yourself, who will?

Hi Gary, I love that picture! I was reading Pat's comments and I wondered have you ever thought of publishing all your posts in a book. Very nicely said and a great reminder to all us not to get trapped in our small world but to expand to our larger one by " Thinking Big" and acting accordingly.

Fran: Tuesday's the big election day. We'll see how it all shakes out.

Renee: You're welcome.Thank you for stopping by.

Howdy Pat: Thanks for the affirmation. I can use all those I can get. You inspire me too.

Hi Audrey: Controlling your thoughts and keeping good ones I think is a great approach.

Marie: Thanks, that dog is a wild child for sure.

Hello Susan: I'm sticking with you with those thoughts. I'm happy when you are happy Susan. xxoo We'll see how this vote in the election turns out.

Justin: Dreaming is where all great things start.

Missy: That's where it is all at. Get rid of the self limiting beliefs.

Maria: You are welcome.

Carol: You want to hit if not exceed your potential and not vastly miss all you were destined to be.

Carole: The dreams we need should be OUR dreams and big ones to boot. Good point Carole.

Hello Lizette: Go for it with those new plans. Have confidence and you can make them come true.

Laura: Being positive will make you stand out nowadays.

William: We need to stay out of that small world cause we are bigger and better than that. I need to start on that book you are right.

Hi Pat again: I get a bonus comment ~ cool!!! I think William could easily write a book with his genuine material. Pat, you're being a mystery with your projects again. I'm going to figure it out eventually. I just have to pay attention to your clues. Why do I feel like Sherlock Holmes here?

Pat: Oh, I am in deep trouble now if this is a TOP SECRET project. See how women COMPLETELY baffle men? It is so true. They were not designed to be figured out. I'm going off to bang my head against the wall some more : ) Enjoy your evening, night, morning etc. I don't think you ever sleep Pat LOL.

Hi Pat How wonderful of you to even suggest I am the same category of interest that I was speaking of in Gary's material. If I weeded through the 450 posts I might come up with one but I even doubt that. Now I did write something, frankly poorly written way back in 1972. I used to write things all the time and fold up the paper and stuff it in a book. One such piece is called 'Within Us'. Like I said, it is written very poorly but when I read it over, I could feel my own passion even back then. I typed this in as a post and it is in my draft section of ActiveRain. I looked at it a while ago and I am not sure if I dare release it. There is a fair message in it but the way it starts out, causes me to wonder what I could have been thinking about back then and even more to the point of why I wrote it. Since it is an original writing of that time, I felt after I re-typed it that it would be really unfair to clean it up and try to make something out of it that was not there in the first place. Sort of writers integrity, if you don't like it, throw it away. But I kept it and I must have been proud in some way that I wrote it since I obviously intended to keep it. It is in some ways ( nature of the subject) very timely even today I guess because 36 years ago is really not all that long ago. Anyway, I sort of want to just put it out there and see what happens. Maybe one day soon, I will.

Hi Gary, Thank you for saying that in your comments but really, your writing are uplifting and my writings could never measure up to that standard.

Imagine if you will, that ( and do the marvelous photos that are so telling) all you many pages were categorized into thematic expressions that other could locate by need or interest. I have seen books like that but certainly not with your original and creative interpretations. I could see this just as a best seller but actually a generational classic. I don't think you need to over think it either, it is already there just needing to be sorted and categorized. Now just think about owning those messages because they are inside you. If you like public speaking, think about the lives that you could inspire and clear the obstacles to greatness for so many. Maybe I should suggest here that don't get caught into your self evaluation but think of it as a gift to the world that because you possess it, you now must share it. Think of it perhaps as your 'God Given' responsibility to share those messages.

PS, I am not sure what made come back and actually see both yours and Pat's message. I do try to remember to  look back at responses to my comments but proabably miss as many as I check back on. Glad I didn't miss these!

Don: Great talking with you as well. You are one special person.

Cynthia: Big goals, big dreams, that's the way to do it!!

Patricia: Right you are that dreaming big is for everyone!!

Cherimie: You're so funny for me, and lift my spirit. Thanks. Keep dancing!!! : )

Chris Ann: You are so right it does come down to our own belief.

Joey: Being open to new possibilities knocks those limiting beliefs down.

William: I'd love to read that "Within Us" article. Thanks for your in depth thoughts and your background on your writing. You could easily write a book in my opinion. I like the ideas of putting things in categories. Maybe putting things by chapter. That's going back a bit thinking of 1972. Boy, time flies doesn't it William?

Robert: Thanks. You're the best. Love the family photo.

Gail: Pat and William are tripping me out. All I can say is they have a LOT to say. This forum you might look at as a playground. Everyone is invited. Even my hometown girl Gail. Enjoy the election results.

Hi Pat: You're always welcome in the playground to talk with others. Kind of like Susan Mangigian calls it hijacking a public post. That aspirin will help me with all the free spirits here. I've learned not to fight them so feel free to talk with Gail or William. I don't mind.
