How did the Los Gatos Real Estate Market Fare in October?

For many homesellers in Los Gatos (and Silicon Valley generally), and for their Realtors, the real estate market is extremely challenging right now. Buyers have been wary for many months already, but now they're concerned about a recession and job losses, not just the possibility of a real estate sales price that won't hold its value later. It is a deepening buyers market overall, but especially within the market for single family homes.

Mary, I was thrilled to get into your lovely site but sorry that sales were down right now. For some reason I thought the market was steady in your beautiful area of Los Gatos.

Carole - thanks. Yeah, Los Gatos and nearby areas were slow to feel the wave but eventually it did reach here. Not as bad as in many areas (lowest priced areas of San Jose have prices down by 40%). Agents' sales are WAY down.
