Sean, I agee to some extent but it would have to be controlled by some type of thumb print or retina scan or some form of control. I have multiple banks and pass words. Why couldn't a voter...
Or at least make that one of the options for voting. Here in San Diego, and I suspect in many areas of the country (South Texas, for example), there are many, many people who still don't have computers in their homes. So you'd still have to make voting available on computers at libraries, absentee ballots, regular stand-in-line polling, and, of course, for me, "pemanent mail voter." However, in the interest of our country, maybe all the companies could let all their employees vote from the company computers.
Uh Russell, have you been to Texas seen 1950? Where the heck did that comment come from! Even my poorest relatives have computers in their homes.
Someone told me the other day they were in Houston back in the 80s and blah blah blah. Uh, HELLLLLOOOOO, my town barely existed back then and now it takes me 30 minutes to travel 10 miles because of all of the traffic some days. It will be very interesting to see the 2010 census results to see the population explosion in the last 20 years on paper.
I don't know one single person here in South Texas that doesn't own a computer. Not one. Oh and in case you were wondering....weens got pick-em-up trucks last week so we could put the horse and buggies away now. I'm the only one in town that owns one and boy howdy am I poplar. :(
Sean, I agree with you wholeheartedly
If I can pay my taxes online (and I DO) then I should be able to vote online!
