So, I voted...what a let down..!

All the months of campaigning, the drama, the commercials, the appearances on talk shows, news stations, rallies, and even Saturday Night Live...all this excitement leading up to the elections....I went in to cast my ballot, stood in line everyone was very quiet almost somber, I got my little card, stood in the booth, cast my vote and walked out of the polling place.... I was waiting for a band to play, or some sort of celebratory ending to all this...but I just got in my car and drove away.....Seems very anti climatic given all the hub bub....

so true...it all went very quickly for me this afternoon, but was surprised to find that this state uses shared tables and felt tip markers for voting...quite different from the private booths and buttons in the western states I've voted in.
