I had received an inquiry from first-time home buyers looking in Chicago and possibly some suburbs close to Chicago.  They were interested more in the north side of Chicago so I referred them to one of my referral agents in the city.  They weren't too happy with the areas they were being shown in their price range.

They decided to look with me in the suburbs.  We looked in La Grange, Forest Park, North Riverside and Oak Park.  They chose a great house in La Grange.

Their criteria was a city close enough to Chicago with a good crime rate and it's own "downtown area."  They weren't really knowledgeable about the village but I told them about the downtown strip filled with shopping, dining and entertainment.  In fact, I took them out to lunch and when they saw the area south of Ogden on La Grange Rd., they were very pleased with this wonderful village.

Add to that the train station in town and the quick trip to downtown Chicago and they were sold.  The home they chose really gave them more for the money than in other towns they looked in.
