A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post The Active Rain Channels - Take A Sneak Peek Inside To See How They Work. Today I was going through some of the older posts I had written prior to the introduction of The Active Rain Channels and noticed they had received the 200 points each from the original point system.
Forgetting what I wrote in that post about receiving an additional 25 points for each post that is submitted to The Active Rain Channels, I went through every single one of my posts to date and adjusted all the ones that I had not submitted to a topic in the channels and got an additional 1,000 points by the time I was finished.
Now just think that was from adjusting 40 of my posts that I had not linked to the channels feature. I know there are plenty of members out there that have been here a lot longer than I have who can now accumulate 1,000's of additional points by taking the time to do this. Not only will you tack on some extra points but it will increase your SEO in Google once it recognizes all these new posts as they are added into the Active Rain Channel platform.
If your current posts don't look like this there's not better time than now to start adding them.
If you're still not quite familiar with how to add your posts to the channels here are the steps:
When you've finished writing your post check off the box next to Active Rain Channels.
Next you'll see there's a drop down box that opens up showing you the different channels you can post to.
Once you determine the channel you want to post to, type in the topic pertaining to that channel
Post your blog entry and VOILA!....an extra 25 points was just added to your post.
Now get going and start racking up those extra points and Google Juice!
