I am Jeff Turner's apprentice in Active Rain's Project Blogger, and I have to tell you... I am amazed by the results of my efforts in this project!

Today I finally got the phone call I have been waiting for.

I was handed 2 listings, by my office manager Jay Gardiner, to handle for our clients Advantage Financial Group.

2 listings!  Can you believe that?!  He actually said that he may have more for me by the end of the week!

Because of Active Rain... and Jeff's coaching, I have gained the confidence I was searching for in this industry. This forum was the platform that lent me the cumulative knowledge and experiences of a over 25,000 real estate professionals and associates!

By the way... I also received a contact from a buyer searching for a home who found me as a result of my content on Localism!

That is huge!  I have the ability to attract BUYERS in this difficult market as a result of marketing myself on both my local page Living in Plainfield, Active Rain and Localism?!  You better believe it.

Jeff wrote a post not too long ago about a phrase he coined called YEO.  You Engaging Others.

It's as simple as that.

Rather than focusing on SEO; if you focus on how YOU can ENGAGE OTHERS... you become a magnet!

To everyone questioning the effort they are putting forth, I have only this to say.

"If you build it, they will come" ~ taken from A Field of Dreams 1989

Thanks Jeff.  Thanks Active Rain.  I owe you one!

Julie

Wow thats fantastic!!.. Good for you.. Keep it raining.

I'll be honest, when Jeff first introduced me to AR and the whole blogging thing i was a bit skeptical, I wasn't sure that all this blogging stuff would pay dividends, but with some persistence, time, and coaching.  I too experienced some great referrals and thats a pretty cool feeling..

What I didn't expect, was the warm reception of people on AR, whoe serve as a great resource for just about anything under the sun.  It builds your confidence, and positions you as an expert for your clients.

Nicely done..
Martin

This had to happen. You have Jeff at the helm. He knows his stuff. Have you asked him about adding keywords 'anal warts' to your blog though? It really works! They don't tell you about anal warts on Project Blogger but you should check it out. I did and I was amazed.

Julie...what a wonderful post "Thank You"  I have been blessed beyond words and RES has brought me business already and I am starting to use the shows in other ways that is blowing people away.  Chris Elizabeth Griffith inspired me over the weekend and because of here I changed my entire AR profile and she taught me some awesome ways to use the power of AR and Localism to draw business to me.  Have a wonderful day.

04/17/2007 08:46 AM by Boise Idaho Real Estate - George Tallabas (RE/MAX Advantage)

My old sales manager Jack used to call it "circulating and perculating".  I think that it's probably going to be a combination of the old "C&P" and the new SEO that is going to when out the day.  I'm still working on finding the proper balance myself....

Julie -

I have to say that's great news.  I am following what you and Jeff are doing.  Your pimped blog site looks great.  It's given me an example of what can be done and I've had the courage to work on mine a bit and make it more of what I've wanted it to be.  Sure wish I knew more about how to change the header and stuff but I'm pleased with what I've learned thus far from following you two.  Anyway, CONGRATS on your first achievements and I'm sure many more will follow!

04/17/2007 09:15 AM by Cynthia Sloop (Community Property Manager)

Wow, that is awesome!  We don't ever get handed listings, but I sure have seen my clients go to localism and come back impressed.  It actually hurts mine, I think, that no other agents in the area have gotten on it so I have to encourage them to go to other areas to see that it is a powerful medium.  It almost looks like I have the party to myself!!!

04/17/2007 09:42 AM by Chris Tesch College Station, Texas Real Estate (RE/MAX Bryan College Station)

Cynthia: do a Google search for information on how to customize your page.  There are a lot of articles on how to do it and they are in a pretty easy to follow format.

Chris:  That may not be such a bad thing.  Do you have a local page too?  I'll have to go to your bio and check for a link.

Bob: I think you've got it down pat!

04/17/2007 09:55 AM by Julie Ferenzi (RE/MAX Professionals South)

Julie,

Good going...listings are my main forte..even in this market, thats what I concentrate on ,I have a buyers agent , but I do handle certain clients on the buy side...check out my farming blog called DO YOU KEEP THE PUBLIC INFORMED?...it shows you how I farm.

Don't get me wrong but buyers are like gold ,so if you are panning for gold in the river...do not pass up even the little nuggets you find...they might be worth more than you think.

Good post and keep plugging away!
