“Take Fear in One Hand, Courage in the Other and Jump.” That’s what Susie Carder said as she told her courageous story about growing up in a life of poverty to owning a successful multimillion dollar business coaching company. She was just a hairdresser and now she helps salons across the country improve their bottom line, among other ventures.
I thought about this a lot this past week, especially after talking to my aunt about how to make the Law of Attraction effective. I always get caught up in the “How”.
All the books talk about taking action and for me that always translates into “How” do I get from point A (where I am in my real estate business and in my personal life) to point B (where I want to be in my real estate business and in my personal life).
So my aunt, who also is a business coach and teaches companies on how to apply the Law of Attraction to help improve their business, gave me a quick one on one session that I thought I would pass along to you:
- Don’t worry too much about how you will attract what you want.
- Focus more on the intention – Your goal(s) for this coming year.
- Although it is good to visualize about your ultimate dream – living in that huge mansion on some foreign island with that Leer jet in your backyard (LOL) or whatever success means for you, also visualize and focus on what success looks like one year from now.
- Break down your intentions. Focus on one achievable intention for the year – create an affirmation for it…Here’s mine
- I am working with more buyers and sellers, who are easy and fun to work with, appreciate my services and as a result I am closing 20 real estate transactions this year and earning over $100,000 this year.
5. Here’s a technique to help your subconscious believe your intention and affirmation is real: Sit in a chair, cross your ankles. Now cross your wrists so that your palms are facing each other and lock your fingers together and then twist your arms so that your hands (that are linked together) are resting on your chest. (It’s a centering and focusing technique):
Then get into a meditative state (close your eyes and breath deeply several times) and start to say your affirmation (in your mind) over and over again until you feel a shift in how you feel. You’ll sense a change in you.
6. Create images, affirmations, intentions, (whatever it takes) that make you really feel inspired and happy. It’s that positive energy that attracts to you what you desire.
Each of us has different senses that help us attract that good positive energy. Some of us are more visual. Some of us are more auditory. Use several methods to attract what you desire in your life.
a) Create a video, with affirmations and music
b) Create a recording of your affirmation(s) and listen with music
c) Create a mind movie in your head of what success is to you.
7. Then Take Action – Be Out in the World so the right people find you!
Last but not least, especially in real estate, we all need to get out of our comfort zones sometimes to increase opportunities for our business.
So from one agent who hates getting out of her comfort zone to another…
Take Fear in One Hand and Courage in the Other….
and JUMP. ☺

Well, I like what I just read! I spent 3 hours last night awake debating on changing to a new company and opening a branch office in my town. I am NOT a top producer but I think outside of the box and I know I will succeed. That LEAP is a scary one, but stagnation is more scary! I printed your message and it is hanging on my wall right now. Thanks for your encouraging thoughts!
