Really Really good article. My own horror story is one of our agents was buying a short sale to live in . She fought with the bank so hard and finally got it done. At the closing she brought in a news paper showing that the home was to be auctioned off the next week !!!! Obviously one hand does not know what the other is doing

Fabulous compendium. 

I spoke with a consumer buyer last week who is working with an agent who "doesn't do short sales".  In the market where the buyer wants to buy, of 37 listings in his price range, 23 are short sales, 2 are foreclosures and 1 is a trust sale.  That leaves about 11 properties for the buyer to consider.  Some of the short sale listings are very attractive. 

He needs a new agent, but he's decided to stick with his agent.  I believe the Stockhold Syndrome is alive and well in this case.
