Will our Silence be deafening: Do we let let those who hold immoral views that are anti-family and anti-child go unchallenged?

I am not happy today. I am angry. The American people have bought into a lie.

To all of you who protested so much about Obama --take a day or two or three and give your "handshakes" and kudos for the Win to the opposition.

If you are a person of principle, the politics don't matter. What matters is what is right.

We have many opportunities to voice what we KNOW  is right. (You have a bible? you have in there, what's right.)

Oppose every Godless thing you read, see and hear. Have a hometown newspaper? Write an op-ed. Get active in politics. Help good candidates to the fore.

If you're more interested in being "liked" than speaking the truth, it's gonna be tough for you, but it can be overcome. What's most important? Being liked or speaking truth?

What I am saying is NOW is the time, to act to reverse this in two years. I gotta tell ya, I am angry about a lot. For the most part, McCain ran an incompetent campaign. Blunder, after blunder--we cannot change that.

But, we are also a part of the solution. Some want to be plolite and not make waves, afraid they might offend the delicate ears of people who might view you as intolerant.

Tell me, where would we be if Jesus decided he didn't want to offend anyone and "took a powder" instead of allowing himself to be sacrificed on the Cross?

My wife said to me this morning, please, please don't write anymore or change your last name.

Well, I gotta tell ya, I will let her go by another name if she wants, but I for one will not be silent.

Will you?

John, I was amazed that my sister-in-law who has been a Christian since she was 16 and is now in her 50's voted for Obama.  Her 27 year old daughter has been totally enthralled but she is young and I know where I was at when I was that age.  I was just AMAZED by my sister-in-laws position though.  The problem is she is very uninformed about everything. To me his stance on abortion and partial birth abortion was enough for me to not even consider.  Believe me I did voice my sentiments to her with of course my husbands okay (it is his sister).  Personally I plan to take an even stronger stand and get involved with our local Republican women's group.  We need to go back to conservatism!!!!

Marchel, Good for you. I joined our local Republican party this year, never have done that before. The one great thing about this is that you get to be around folks who share the same values, not to say that all Republicans are conservative.

Jesus was NOT acting for politics. In fact, people tried a number of times to engage him in politics against Rome, and he refused to get embroiled in it.

Leslie, you missed he whole point. It is standing up for what is right

Anthony, there is no point in rebutting you, I'd rather use my energy to work for "change" in two years.

I'll check back with you to see how wonderful that new era actually is. I don't buy it.

Anthony, you asked:

"After decades of public service (which is certainly commendable) do you really think he would have shaped up in the next 2 months?"

My answer is YES.

John as Christians we need the strength and the integrity to stand for God regardless of the consequences.

Hugh, your last statement is the statement that makes sense.

With that said, as a Christian, I am amazed that other Christians would compromise their faith and trust in God by risking what is soon to be our countries leadership.  But, it is not for me to figure out.  Certainly voting for whomever we want to be our president is an inalienable right.

As Christians, if we don't see this as a parrallel to the remant being transported from their home into exile, then we are missing a Bible study here.

And now we Christians in the United States are in exile.  We have a leadership that will proliferate the destruction of the family through immoral sex education, the murder of infants and the alienation of Israel, to mention only a few of Obama's sinful positions.

And as Daniel did before us, we must live in exile.  But, we should refuse to compremise and eat the food.  Daniel was able to exist in exile, but did not turn his back on God.

And just as the walls around Jerusalem were rebuilt along with the temple, so shall the US after the possible destruction of everything the US has stood for.  And John is simply saying, "Let's prepare now to rebuild the walls in two years."  I see nothing wrong with that.

Rick, well said. I am amazed at how one day turns the minds of those who were opposed to the president-elect are so willing to  sweep everything under the rug in the name of "unity", coming together as a country, blah, blah, blah--like that we displayed after 911-- that didn't last too long.

The thing we must remember though is that God can and often does change peoples hearts. We must pray ceaselessly for our country and for our leadershipthat they turn their eyes back to God
