The families, friends and the campus folks of those who parished in the Virginia Tech tragedy. I can't even begin to imagine the loss they must be feeling and bewilderment as to how someone could do such a thing. I know I don't have to ask my fellow rainers........but just a reminder......to keep them both in your thoughts and prayers.....these folks have a long road to healing ahead of them.....let's not forget them.
We're all on the same page. I have some friends who have children going to Virginia Tech.
Thankfully, none of them were among the victims, but the anxious hours trying to find them to make sure they were alright was heart wrenching. I can't imagine the pain of the parents who found out otherwise.
They are in my thoughts and prayers. Although I do not have any children in college it really has caused me to think about what type of plan our elementary school has in place.
I really cant imagine the kind of pain the parents and families of these children feel.
My Heart Goes Out to All of them! Their Families, Friends and anyone who knew them.
Sheesh.
I was just recovering from a recent news headline that read "Baby Stabbed 135 Times" when I heard about the school massacre yesterday.
I don't know much, but I do know that Heaven is filled with millions of innocent young souls whose physical existences on this planet were interrupted by the evil actions of others.
I can almost hear their angelic voices singing.
Thanks for sharing your compassion, Tish.
OMgosh Greg, I haven't heard about the baby, how horriffying. Scary world we live in sometimes isn't it?
I featured a post by Bob Sloop on that very issue, Tish......
I saw the headlines in the papers this morning and i was shocked.....
The guy shot someone in a dorm room and then walked across campus...and shot some more people....
Did the people in the dorms think a fuse had blown or something?
A gunshot sounds so DIFFERENT as opposed to a fuse blowing...
I am still in shock...... =-/
This was a terrible thing. It's sad to see how terrified these young adults were. You think you fairly safe on campus. It saddens me that the officials that were warned about this student from professors and students did not have him seek counseling or have him evaluated.
Young adults with great potential to change the world were lost that day. Some heroic professors were lost that day.
They are in my thoughts and prayers. The region and the victims families have a long grieving process ahead of them.
yes, Tish...people all across the country are praying about this tragedy.....
It is so hard to hear about...yet this is what the world is coming to......
OUR lives have to count...the time is short....
VT's woman's track team took first place in this weekend's ACC event held in College Park, MD. My niece, a member of team, ran a steeplechase for the first time, placing 8th even though she fell, qualfying for the regionals (whatever that is). Her Mom and Dad are VT grads, too.
We talked about the event, and agreed there were too many warning signs which were ignored.
Also in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for the post.
This is close to home for me as I have a daughter that graduated from VT, and we have been on the campus often while she was there.
