As most of you know, I worked at the polls yesterday from 5 in the morning to 8 last night at the high school here in town.  It was wonderful to see so many people turn out to vote. It isn't who you voted for, but that you came out to support your candidate that matters.

Before the polls opened, there was a line out the door and around the building.  When the doors opened up we were very busy.  In the first hour alone, there were 810 people that came out to show their support.  What most don't realize is that the town of Cromwell, CT has a little over 9,000 voters.  That means nearly 10% came out first thing in the morning.  There was a steady stream all day, and I wanted to take a moment to say "Thank you" to the town, and everyone that came out to vote.  Pat yourself on the back GREAT JOB!!!  I hope to see this again next year for the town elections.

Valerie we were also busy in Middletown in the morning as well as throughout the whole day.  It would be nice if voters came out like this for every ellection.

George,  Maybe they will come out now more for these elections (even the town ones) knowing what a vote can do.  I just hope in 4 years (if this country is still standing) we can change things.
