Well...

Real Estate Agent with Dave Woodson

My guy did not win, but I am not going to be that guy that tosses stuff against the wall to see where it sticks.

Am I mad? Yes,

Am I am little scared?  Yes

Am I going to respect the office?  Yes

Is he going to be my President?  Yes

Am I going to threaten to go live somewhere else?  No

I will give President-Elect the same respect as most of our media gave President Bush.  Wait, I don't want to be that guy.  He will be our President, the leader of the free world.  He will get the respect the office deserves.  I am an American.  I will be an American until I die or they can pry it out of dead heart.

I think is it high time that we all put aside our pettiness and work for the common good when did we lose site of the common goal.  A chicken in every pot, we all are fed, we work and try to help the next guy be better.  We don't need to redistribute wealth!  We need to make sure everyone has the same opportunity as the next guy, and if they don't take.  I am sorry.  I am not going to hand it to them on a silver platter.

I never got one on a silver platter.  I struggle and I fight.  I don't lie and steal.  I make sure my daughter goes to school and learn and if someone needs a lift, by God I pull over and help.  But, don't wave a laminated sign in my face asking me for money.

We need our Congress and President to work together not give out pork to this guy or that guy.  Wall Street bailout aside, Main Street is the livelihood of this nation.   The Nation is outside of the beltway.

Well said Dave!  we now can move forward and negative campaigning is over.  Hopefully we will see consumer confidence rise now since the vote was for "change".

Be happy Dave.  We don't have to worry about putting gas in our car or our mortgage or anything like that...just like the lady on the radio said after voting for Obama.  So take heart and be HAPPY!

My guy didn't win either, and I'm still getting over it. The stock market rewarded us by a 500 point loss today. ~Pat

Dave,

I, like you, do not wish to "give" my hard earned money to those that are simply Lazy and are only looking for handouts.  What's wrong with just contributing to needy causes for those that really do need it?  If we have to distribute our wealth, then many of these organizations will end up suffering.

Well, it is what it is.  I thought McCain was gracious in his speech.  He knows that we all have to work together and still speak our thoughts.  Hopefully our thoughts will still be heard!

Dave, You are right.  Obama deserves more respect than the media gives President Bush.  I sure wouldn't have wanted his position when 9-11 hit!  Look how old he looks today.  It's sad to see him shunned by his own party.

I hope Obama will be good for our nation!

Dave- Very well said. I know this is hard to swallow. Just try to remember that in elections past (especially 2000 + 2004) that half of the people who voted lost then too. I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach, and then again in 2004. But somehow I survived George Bush...barely, but here we are. You will be fine...try on a little HOPE, it feels good:)
