                            Losing a home is a very traumatic thing for most people...it isn't just bricks, mortar, wood, nails...it represents one of the largest investments some people make in a lifetime.  It is not just a financial investment....it is emotional...the love of the neighborhood, the neighbors, the time spent decorating, putting in the flower beds...the holiday decorations that were lovingly put up inside and out...the garage that had a place for the kid's bikes, Dad's tools, Mom's lawn furniture....and now trying to face the unknown future....

              Many people who have missed mortgage payments, have gotten a variety of notices from the bank....and listed their home unwisely with a realtor who "bought the listing"....and added all their debts, commission expense and a little extra "to start over"...and because of their emotional attachment to the house...can't figure out why it isn't selling. The market is slow, people have to sell their home to buy this one, this house is worth every penny it just doesn't appeal to everyone...the excuses continue...or the one that takes the "Foreclosure Cake"....the government is going to bail me out...

           You may know someone in denial...they lost their job, had health issues, are getting or have gotten divorced, mortgage adjusted....lots of reasons...be gentle, be kind...but find someone....a relative or someone the homeowner trusts and see if they can break thru the wall of denial and let them know the consequence of foreclosure if they do not list their home as a short sale.
