Sleeping Reader® Reading Research

Sleeping Reader® Research:

There are 3 Basic Steps to learning how to read.  (1) Learning the letter names.  (2) Learning the sounds of each letter.  (3) Learning the image of each letter.  The Sleeping Reader® Research Team has discovered that many people have difficulty learning all three Steps at once.

Another huge problem is that by trying to teach someone all 3 Steps at once (flashcards, pointing at letters in a book, other complex reading courses, etc.) this confuses and frustrates the student and thereby making the learning to read process up to 10 times longer.  A major breakthrough came when the Sleeping Reader® research team discovered that by only teaching the first 2 Steps (learning the letter names and sounds of each letter) to a student and then later teaching the 3rd Step (learning the image of each letter) the process of learning to read dramatically speeds up and makes the entire process much easier for both the teacher and the student.  This process works no matter where the student is in the learning to read process.

The Sleeping Reader® research team then discovered that repetition is another key aspect to learning to read quickly and effectively.  The obstacle is that students do not have long attention spans and there are only so many times that you can review each lesson in one day.  This is where nighttime learning effectively solves the problem.  In an average night (8 hours) a student will listen to each lesson dozens of times.  When you continue listening to lessons over the 6 months course - a student has literally listened to lessons thousands of times.  This is the repetition and undisrupted learning that no tutor, classroom teacher, or parent can accomplish during the day.

Furthermore, the Sleeping Reader® research team has developed other memorized learning techniques used in this course that dramatically increases learning retention.  These techniques have not been released to the general public to prevent copycat products and other less-effective and less-authentic competitors.  When you combine all of these attributes there is no other product that effectively and easily teaches reading on the market today.

Some highlights of the Sleeping Reader® Research Team:

Early 2006 Study completed with 652 students ages 4 - 9 that were learning to read and those having trouble learning to read.  Of those that completed the full 6 month course: all students showed increased results in reading, letter sounding, spelling, and word association. The following results were based on testing of the students before and after the Sleeping Reader® Program.

Reading: 92% Increase.

Letter Sounding: 98% Increase.

Spelling: 78% Increase.

Word Association: 88% Increase.

Teachers involved in the process were amazed with the results.  This led to further refinements in the course and additional research.

Late 2006-2007 Study on 1175 children ages 5 - 10 that had moderate to sever reading problems and learning disabilities.  Again, of those that completed the full 6 month course: all students showed increased results in reading, letter sounding, spelling, and word association. The following results were based on testing of the students before and after the Sleeping Reader® Program.

Reading: 99% Increase.

Letter Sounding: 92% Increase.

Spelling: 82% Increase.

Word Association: 84% Increase.

2007 Study completed on 363 Adults having difficultly learning to read.  Again, of those that completed the full 6 month course: all students showed increased results in reading, letter sounding, spelling, and word association. The following results were based on testing of the students before and after the Sleeping Reader® Program.

Reading: 87% Increase.

Letter Sounding: 77% Increase.

Spelling: 91% Increase.

Word Association: 90% Increase.

2007 Study completed on 221 Adults and Children having difficultly learning English as a second language.  Again, of those that completed the full 6 month course: all students showed increased results in reading, letter sounding, spelling, word association, and speaking English. The following results were based on testing of the students before and after the Sleeping Reader® Program.

Reading: 92% Increase.

Letter Sounding: 82% Increase.

Spelling: 79% Increase.

Word Association: 81% Increase.

Speaking English: 84% Increase.

2007-2009 Study on 524 infants using Sleeping Reader® - Early results look promising.  More to come later on the results of this study.
