math

We know that there are 1600 square feet in a house, and that the garage is 20 feet by 30 feet.

The cost of building the house is $110 per square foot.

The cost of building the garage is $40 per square foot.

The 50 foot lot on which the house is going to be constructed costs 150 dollars per front foot.

What is the total cost of the house, the garage and the lot ?

wildlife

A.$207,500

If the house is 110 dollars per square foot to construct and there are 1600 square feet of houe to build, multiply 1600 times 110 to get a total cost per square foot of176,000.

The garage is 20 by 30 so multiply those two numbers to come up with 600 square feet of garage at 40 dollars a sguare foot. Multiply 600 times 40 and we see that the gargage construction cost is $24,000.

Now let's find the cost of the lot by multiply 150 times 50 front feet to get a total of $7500.

So, we add 176,000 plus 24,000 plus 7500 to derive a total cost for the construction of the home of $207,500.
