Wine barrels

Now don't get your vines in a twist............Here it is; I have been in so many situations that someone has recommended some wine and I have to say "Oh I don't drink wine" and THE LOOK that inevitably follows is such a look of confusion, Sometimes I get the pity look as if I just said I have not taste buds but mostly it is confusion then the inevitable question will always fallow "Have you tried good wine?"  Yes I have spent some time drinking from a $500 bottle of wine with friends as well as business associates and as always I remind them that I didn't want to waste their money on me but the wine crowd is big on converting the lost or misled crowd.

With that said I am going to try drinking wine. I am planning on going to each of our little and big wineries in Placer County and picking up a bottle a week (budget permitting) or just make a stop at any of their free taste testing and give my feed back at the end.

I'd start with the free tasting session.  You may not even like wine enough to invest in a bottle.

I was a bachelor party last year and somebody sent over shots of tequilla.  The table fell silent when I said "I don't drink tequilla" and refused to drink it.  I did it once a long time ago, and vowed never again.  I'll stick to my cheap beer and the occasional bottle of cheap wine.

I don't like tequila eather and what is with every large gathering everyone says lets have margaritas?  But just like the wine I am a team player and almost always am happy to give it another try.  Not the tequila shots because that would surly make me sick

Just a taste now & then and visiting the wineries may help in relating to your prospective clients. You are in wine country, after all. ~Pat

That is exactly what got me thinking..... why on earth I would let something so accessible pass me by without giving it a fair shake.  Or maybe squeeze either way I am in for the long hall designated driver and all.  : )

That's a pity...give it a fair shake.  Especially with a name like Schweiger!  www.schweigervineyards.com could be a good closing present to clients from you :)

Give me a cold Heineken on a hot day....I'm good for one or two...But wine and me just don't get along! however, If there was a Craig wine, I'd at least give it a try!

I like wine, and doing a tasting tour is a good way to find out what you like or don't like.

I remember not liking caviar unti someone bought me really good caviar, and I was amazed at the difference and loved it.  Given the price, I was probably better off thinking I did not like it.
