Set Up Your Profiles. The goal of week 2 is to check out a few social networking sites are and get your name out there.... Create your user names and passwords.... Set up your profiles. Click here if you missed week 1.

Someone asked me, "Uh....How long is this going to take?" The idea here is just a few minutes here or there. You could sit down and knock out the whole list now, or as you have 5-10 minutes in office duty or after checking your email etc visit a site.

Sites to visit...

Visit each of these sites and...

  • Create your account
  • Upload your picture
  • Add your phone numbers & email
  • Add your web site address (use anchor text with the keywords you figured out last week)
  • Update your profile with real estate services and experience
  • Make connections ~ Search to find people you know.

Social networking is all about interacting with other people. Visit these sites. Join groups. Participate. Search for people you know. It will build from there.

See you next Friday for Online Marketing Plan - Week 3....

Angie, thank you for this information.  It is something that I need to get as much information as I can get, so I look forward to the next segment while working on this weeks blog!

I've been doing my homework but haven't been able to figure out yet when I'll find the time to continually update all these sites AND still have time left in the day to work. But I'm trying!  :-)

Hi Connie - I hear this a lot. Here's my thought... its not about hanging out on the sites all the time or even a lot. If you just did one thing - set up your profile and contact info from this week.... and then you never went back to the site - at least for someone who does use the site regularly they will be able to find you if they look. Usually as your network grows and you connect with people you know you will naturally start interacting with the site because the people you know are on the site and you get notifications etc...

Sounds like you're giving people some great ideas.  I'm curious to look at the first post in the series and will keep an eye out for the third.
