HEALTH INSURANCE

Florida has picked six insurers, including United Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, to provide no-frills health insurance plans for nearly 4 million Floridians now without coverage. Residents uninsured for at least six months could be able to buy a policy under the "Cover Florida" program sometime in early 2009.

What a country? Health care is it free? If I give up mine now and wait six months can I get it for free. Now all the companies that were avaiding making people ull time to avoid paying insurance can make them full time now. What will this country give away next.

Hi Charles

The Florida plan calls for the person to pay for the coverage of thier insurance.

Lou:  Thanks for the info.  I will be watching for this and to see the costs involved.  I don't understand why the federal govt. and both parties can't agree on at least opening up the cross state lines for coverage pooling so that the NAR can have a large pool for traditional coverages.

This is something that I think could immediately bring down traditional coverage costs for Realtors and other folks.  And I don't think there should be apprehension from either side of the isle..

You would think that with the size of NAR membership, they could negotiate affordable hearth insurance.

Thanks for your comments.
