Canton's Salute to Service Men and Women:

Sunday, November 9
2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
The Village Theater at Cherry Hill

Canton is proud to honor area servicemen and women who have served and who are currently serving in our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserves. On Sunday, November 9, a "Salute to Service" ceremony will take place at the Village Theater, from 2 - 4 p.m., which will recognize our military personnel in active duty and our veterans for their exceptional commitment and dedication. While this event is Free, a ticket is required to guarantee a seat. Photos of Canton residents who are currently in our Armed Forces will be on display during this program. The public is encouraged to attend this free event honoring those who have served in the military during times of war and peace. Join us as we salute all veterans, living and deceased, and especially those active duty military men and women who are currently serving in harm's way in faraway places and across the homeland. Something Special for November:

Elk's Hoop Shoot Contest - Summit on the Park, FREE
Saturday, November 8, at 9 a.m. For ages 8-13
Step up to the line to compete in the annual free throw shoot out. Boys/Girls compete in the following age divisions: 8-9, 10-11, & 12-13. Registration begins on-site at 9 a.m.; contest begins at 9:30 a.m. Contact the Canton Sports Center (734) 483-5600 for more information.

Princess & Superhero Family Dance
Don't put away those Halloween costumes yet! We invite Canton's littlest princesses & superheroes to suit up and dance the day away with us on Saturday, November 15 from 3;30 - 6 p.m. in the Summit Gymnasium. Come and enjoy music, games, and of course - a balloon drop! Admission includes punch & cookies. If you dance up an appetite, pizza & pop will be available for an additional cost. Photos & souvenirs will also be available for a nominal fee for those interested. Please Note: Both Parents & Youth will require a ticket for admission. Tickets are just $8 for residents and $10 for non-residents. Ages 2 & under are free. For more information, visit leisure.canton-mi.org
