Italian Icons are Remembered at Feast of Little Italy - Deana Martin & Lena Prima to Headline
Published by Little Italy Feast The Feast of Little Italy, held in Abacoa Town Center, is proud to announce the musical headliners for this years Comcast entertainment stage. Two daughters of legendary performers Dean Martin and Louie Prima will headline the festival. Featuring Deana Martin and Lena Prima, the Comcast entertainment stage will bring crowds singing all their favorite Italian songs with a taste of Doo Wop at the Feast of Little Italy.
Lena Prima performing Friday, November 7th at 8pm and is the daughter of the legendary Louis Prima and singer Gia Maione. Lena was born with a unique musical heritage singing all of the hits "Louie Prima that's My Dad", "That Old Black Magic", "Just a Gigolo", "Jump Jive 'An Wail", "Pennies from Heaven" and many more! Deana Martin performs Saturday, November 8th at 8pm and will take the audience on a musical journey, honoring her legendary father Dean Martin and other great performers who shaped American music and popular culture for over four decades. Deana performs many of her father's greatest and most enduring hits, including: "Memories Are Made of This", "That's Amore", "Everybody Loves Somebody", and many more of the world's favorites.
Legends of Doo Wop performs Sunday, November 9th at 6pm featuring the best in Doo Wop with a combined total of more than 160 years of harmony experience, this super group is comprised of doo wop legends Jimmy Gallagher of the Passions; Tommy Mara of the Crests; Steve Horn of The 5 Sharks; and Frank Mancuso.
There will be performances on stage throughout the three-day festival. The stage will be full of local performers from the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Conservatory of Performing Arts, local singer, Frank Corso, and the music of Tre Bella. There will be a special opera serenade by Lou Galterio, a baritone with his romantic style. Lou will perform all of Italy's most famous ballads performed on the balcony in Abacoa over the crowds. Feast Dates & Times: Friday, November 7, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The three-day festival is free to the public.
