Has the Market reached Bottom

By
Real Estate Agent with Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty

As I talk with fellow associates I wonder if the Market is starting to come back, usually when people  feel it is hopeless and they ponder career changes  you have to wonder if we are at the bottom.

Brian,

Lately, we've been very busy...certain price ranges are better than others,,but nevertheless..busy! Many agents started working when the market was much easier. They never developed and implemented their business plans. ..Hang in there!!!

We have seen an increase in activity the past few days, I guess because the election is over.

I don't think we will be at the bottom until employment numbers start to improve.

In Texas - Dallas area I believe we have come close if not hit it.  That of course will be validated in the next quarter.  We do seem to have some good news with rates but other bad news with possible more corporations (GM) having financial problems.  Roller coaster ride we are on.

It is hard to tell if we have hit bottom it would be nice if this happened.  Until then we have to continue to work hard and be patient.  Hang in there all your hard work will pay off.

As a new realtor (6 months) I can see that you need to be constsent and they way I figure it it can only get better.

Brian, I would say the market is far from touching the bottom in general. Some pockets might recover sooner though.
