Forrest Gump was not an Einstein...What would he do if he were a realtor or loan officer in today's market?  Sometimes I think we are all to eager to show our knowledge and impress people with our certifications, titles  and accomplishments.  Of course we need to do our part to be educated and know our jobs but certification's don't count for much if our hearts and motives are not simple.

I believe that most people would rather work with someone that is not so focused on themselves and their accomplishments but rather the client.  I try to explain the process of mortgage financing in simple terms that are understood and not "official" terms or abbreviations that most folks don't have a clue what that mean.

Getting back to basics means we have to reach our clients on a differnt level today.  They need to know they are our priority and our blessings.  Now obviously Forrest Gump was fiction but I know we could all learn from him and his strong will.  I believe Forrest would continue to move forward and do what he did best projecting positive insight when it seems the world is in turmoil.  What do you think Forrest would do?

I believe the same way you do.  I loved this movie Forrest was so simple but yet so caring.  We could all use a lesson from him.  Be more real.

Your sentence, "I believe that most people would rather work with someone that is not so focused on themselves and their accomplishments but rather the client." is why I have never used any initials after my name. I get a kick out of the Realtors who have 15 or 20 sets of initials after their names. It just seems to me that something is wrong there. About the only initials I would use if I had earned them would be Ph.D., M.D., or C.P.A.
