Today was our Painting Workshop in Manchester, Connecticut. From time to time, I host different events and workshops for my clients, family and friends to offer them useful information and tips.
Here we are, getting the newest product offering! Diamond Paint! It reflects light instead of absorbing it! Pretty cool, right? This means, that if you have a dark room or hallway, by using this paint on the walls, it would brighten it up. Christine Russo, the Manager of ICI PAINTS in Manchester, Connecticut, is pointing to the display block in the photo, to the left. The bottles were my Americola Handouts left over from Election Day. Just wanted to make sure you knew what they represented. Some of our door prizes were displayed on that table, and others were displayed on the counter.
Here is a closer look at that nice, reflecting Diamond Paint square on the wall in the room where we held our workshop.
Choosing the right paintbrush makes a big difference in the finished product.
This stuff is awesome. The live demonstration was very impressive. It comes as a powder in this package. You mix it with a small amount of water and it becomes a gel. Unlike conventional tape, the paint cannot slip behind the tape. Once your paint has dried, you simply peel it off the wall.
It started out to be a rainy day. The sun peeped out a little in the early afternoon, but the rain did return. This was a good way to spend a few hours with my clients, family and friends. Though some of them are camera shy, they were not shy with their questions for Christine and her crew. We found out some good tips, learned of fascinating new products and had a bite to eat, too. Thank you to all who attended and I hope you walked away with some new knowledge about painting today. Thanks to Christine Russo, who gave her time and energy to our workshop to make it a success. Christine is a client of mine, from years ago.
