I had twirled around the idea of opening an office since the day I became licensed. For a year after I received my Broker's license I seriously toyed with it. No time ever seemed like the right time and I was broke, but, I took the plunge--100foot free fall. As it turned out I purchased 3 nice desks, 3 office chairs, a copier, coffee table and some miscellaneous chairs for about $800 from a company that was going out of business. From there it was on to The Family Dollar Store and Southeastern Salvage. Really. I decorated my new office with odds and ends and unframed pictures from these places. I used all of my HGTV education and painted frames and accent pieces. When I was done everyone said that I had a showplace. I was very proud of that office and it proved something once again; the ANT can move the rubber tree plant if he really wants to. Altogether I spent under $2000 includinding filing fees.
