My website buyer and seller leads are way down.  Anyone have any suggestions on how to get better placement on the web?  I use to get 1-2 leads daily.  Now I;m seeing 1 a week :-(

I did just join www.buildtraffic.com  lets see if that helps

Thanks

Dan

Dan,

I would suggest blogging about your local markets.  Active Rain is heavily crawled by Google, and articles about your local markets will give you good search engine placement, allowing consumers to find you amidst the crowd.

Dan,

Along with Stefan's excellet suggestion, I'd add take pics of your market area and post them on Localism.  Get all over LOCALISM.  Use all the avenues available to post!

Good luck!

Those sound like good ideas. Is the whole market down in Naperville? You might try adding more websites (Point2Agent has a free version) for niche marketing (first time home buyers, older sellers, geographic areas etc.).

Best of luck!

Hook up your MLS listings to your active rain page. Cross traffic is critical if you want a powerful network.

The key to consistent hits is relevent content.  Relevant in google terms sometimes translates to "fresh".

Your site may have the best information on Du Page County real estate around, but if your info was last updated last month, it might not "google" as well as someone else's site that was updated yesterday.

The suggestions about utilizing ActiveRain blogs and local content are right on the mark.  Make sure your blogs are targeted to the right audience, though.  Read Marketing Your Blog: Categories, Tags and ActiveRain Groups  for some tips.

Also, consider joining the Blogging & SEO group for some other great articles on the topic.

Have you thought about cpc - cost per click - like google adwords or overture with yahoo. com?  You can control the amount you spend per day as well as the key words that will have your site come up first.  You make your own key words & phrases.  Just fyi, we do it and have great success.

1 is better than none. Network a little, ask your friends what they think of your site, do they use it? Do they read your blogs? Run a little PR campaign, create buzz about your site.
