Active Rain Party Is A Hit At NAR! More Photos!

The Active Rain party was a huge success! This party was held at the Hard Rock Live on CityWalk next to Universal Studios in Orlando Florida. We had this awesome space complete with full balconies, beverages, drinks and appetizers.

We met so many wonderful bloggers and many of our subscribers. We even met some great people in the industry from Canada and Mexico that had not heard of Active Rain. We encouraged them to start blogging on the rain.

TLW and Broker Bryant were able to make it over and that was surely a treat. We must say that TLW is every bit as funny in real life as she is on her blog and Broker Bryant is just as warm and friendly as you know him on line. We had a blast hanging out with TLW and Broker Bryant.

Christa ( Missy's Daughter) was at the front giving Rainers their name tags. Here is Ginger Wilcox all the way from Marine County California.

Missy Caulk, one of my very best friends on Active Rain is warm, friendly and very grounded.

We took some photos with our Blackberries but it was very dark so many of our photos did not turn out the way I was hoping for. We also have a great Sony Handycam that takes awesome photos but the nightlight makes the people look hazy and I could not figure out how to get my settings off of Easy Cam to use my backlight! URGHH! I am moving my wish list item: Nikkon wide angle 8400 Camera just went to the top of my list!!!!

Meeting Bob Stewart, Brad Andersohn and Rich Jacobson all in person was great. These guys are all about the caring for their members as is portrayed on Active Rain. There is warmth around them. They are not all about themselves and it shows in their reaching out to each member. I see no place in the great community that these guys have built for anyone to be talking smack about them or Active Rain.

We certainly missed meeting a lot of people in person at the party because there were just so many people there. And we missed all of you that could not make it. This was our first Active Rain gathering and we have been on the rain since June of 2007. We look forward to the next time.

It is time to bid farewell to all our friends in person and get back to our online friendshipping! NAR is finishing up right now and I am packing up our belongings getting ready to check out while Nestor finishes up with some classes he wanted to take this morning.

Katerina - I wished I could have been in two places at once - here in Germany where I'm right now and at NAR this past weekend. I'm glad you guys had a blast.

It's so amazing that online friends could meet each other in person. You think I may sound crazy when I say this, but I never worked up enough nerves to meet you or everyone else in person. But I'm going to try - at our own North Texas gathering in early December. As bold as I sound on my blog, I am still very shy at heart.

Loreena- I am shy too, although you would never know it. I can blog and network online boldly, I can get up and talk in front of large groups, but the one on one thing, the going up to someone is the hardest thing for me. Thankfully, here, people were coming up to me so I did not have to:)

Petra- That is awesome that you are in Germany.Please take lots of photos and share them on flickr and Active Rain! I am looking forward to seeing new photos of Germany. Mine are from many years ago and in black and white.

So much for us meeting last night at Universal. :( At least we had time together at other events. We rode rides as fast as we could and still didn't get all the ones in. Regardless, you and Nester was great to finally meet.

Man, I definitely did miss out on a great party. Oh well, always next year!

I've read all the posts....and it sounds like you all had a wonderful party. I wish I could have stayed. It was great to meet you and Missy at the Expo!

Katerina~ Hi! It was nice to meet you and Nestor as well....too bad we didn't have more time to catch up about the Wellington area, as that's where I lived when I went to school at FAU (back in the day ;0)

Maybe we can chat more at the next gathering...I'm voting for an A|R party AT LEAST twice a year!

It was a pleasure to meet both you and Nestor at the party...I had a great time and wish I was able to take photos of everyone but it was hard to find everyone. I guess some people don't look exactly like their pictures and since it was dark ...that made it harder too. I was lucky enough to get your photo posted on mine as well. Thanks again for making the party a success.

Katerina - Maybe next yearwhen some other function that requires the activerain heads to all converge on one location. Thanks for the update, and apparantly these are all real people, and not just a computer program.

Sounds like the Active Rain get together was a great time! Thanks for sharing with us who were not able to attend!

Dear Nester and Katerina, I have so enjoyed seeing all the photos and our wonderful members on Activerain. From all I have heard you all had a great time and both of you were big hits at the party. Shows that that those who make the way for so many with great advise and a wonderful example to emulate are in fact loved by those that have come to know you. Glad you all had such a wonderful time.

I'm totally jealous, but I'm happy that you had such a wonderful time. I'm getting my calendar out and planning far in advance for the next one. GBU!

I agree with Elizabeth-for those of us who couldn't make it, thanks for the photos everyone is posting! Glad you had a great time and took some well-deserved downtime!

Everyone! Thanks for the comments. Just got back into the home office and the messages are really piled up! Time to return all these calls!

Lisa-We are exhausted! Need a vacation now! No down time, running from session to session, up at 6 a.m. to bed at 1 or 2 a.m.! SO much to do you just could not fit it all in.

Look for some posts I have been creating in my mind from all we learned and are going to implimenting into our business.

It was really a pleasure to meet you! I'm sorry we didn't have more time to spend together but I'm glad was able to snag you and Nestor on your way out. Those gatherings are always a little hectic for me as I want the chance to spend a little time with a lot of people. Don't forget to send me that email reminder (if you haven't already......my inbox is pretty jammed after neglecting it for several days)

Bob- Of course we know that you must be very busy making your rounds at these gatherings. Everyone wants to meet you! I won't forget, will wait til things calm down a bit. I was slammed with phone messages that I am still returning and there were 3 offers in our fax when we got home! ALL GOOD things! I look forward to spending more time with you at different events. NAR is in San Diego next year, a hop and a skip for you!

the event is over, we are going cyberfriendshiping. hose who were there have a chance to rewind and live the moments again, those who were not there are suffering tremenously, and are jealous... so the party will only be bigger next year, and then another 2 years, and then they will be back in Orlando.

Thanks for the post about the AR party. It looked like it was a great time. Would have been fun to meet some of the other bloggers.

Love all the pictures! I especially liked the idea to have everyone sign that shirt! It would be fun to meet everyone we know online in person!

Katerina - found my way over here while wandering around in the rain. It's so great to still be seeing pics of the party. It was such fun. I don't ever remember meeting a group of such a friendly, welcoming group of professionals. It is very refreshing.
