Today was a very rainy day here in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties.  I drove to Crescent City to meet with one of my agents to go over his transactions during the week and to catch up on our activities.  Then we went out to check up on all our listings and fill in flyer boxes.

When we came to one of our last listings, there was a couple that had just pulled into the diveway to get one of our flyers for the house.  We pulled up next to the husband and told him that we are able to show him the property if he wanted to see the inside.  He asked us if we were the owners and we said no, we are the listing agents.  Then as you may know, the rest is history.  We spent about an hour with the couple going through the house and walking the entire property (in the rain!).

The couple called us later tonight to let us know that they would like to make an offer on Monday after they speak with their loan officer.  So you can never be unprepared to show a listing, even on the most rainiest of days.

Thavisak - Excellent point. In our industry you have to stay prepared because you never know what opportunity will arise, or when or where.

Thank you Tanya for pointing that out.  Tonight I was having dinner with family at a restuarant and low and behold, one of my contractor friends came up to me and said that he had not seen me in a long time and would like to get together to develope some land.  So there you go.  Always be prepared to make a contact or to set up an appointment.
