My 3 year old daughter came up to my ear and whispered, I have something to sing to you. I said, "OK" then that is when she started singing in a whisper.

"Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC, and I'm not sure that if I should be happy that I have someone to take to concerts with me, or if I should be worried that I'm raising a juvenile delinquent.

Maybe she has seen one to many Gene Simmons posters

But, I do have to admit it was pretty cute that my little rocker girl is expanding beyond Kiss. Click here for that post.

Woo-Hoo!  Rock on little one!  My 8 year old HAS to have their new CD.  Apparently he thinks they are a new group!  HA

Out of the mouths of babes. She is too cute. My 2 year old seems to know all the words of Alan Jackson's songs. He mixed them in with his nursery rhymes.

That's too funny! My son, when he was two used to sing, Britney Spears' "Oops! I Did it Again" when he would have an accident in his pants! Gotta' love 'em!!

Todd ~ So, she likes the classics, does she? : )  I think I would have burst out laughing! Of course, you may have trouble later on - I still can't find my Queen "Greatest Hits" CD!

Todd-My very first concert ever, was AC/DC so I constantly have on the AC/DC chanell on Sirius in my car. My 12 year old is not a big AC/DC fan. I think it is her mother's doing. So hear is to your little rocker.

Oh well,

I see no problem with that. Kids needs to be exposed to life and then taught how to deal with stuff. Besides AC/DC use to be one of my favorite bands ... back in the day.

Hey, they just released a new album, you could get your daughter a copy of the new CD.

It doesn't get much better than AC DC.  AC DC is timeless and their music is infectious, so I'm not surprised the next generation lives on.

Your daughter certainly looks like a rock fan. Look at her tongue.

Todd, I missed your Kiss blog the first time. She is adorable!

Every family vacation had Rolling Stones songs turned up loudly on the long trips in the family station wagon with the camper on the back (very Griswalds.) I still smile when I hear them :-)

Todd, not to worry----one of my daughter's favorite songs (long before she was old enough to understand it) was Neil Young's "Welfare mothers make better lovers."  She got herself a pretty much free acedmic ride to Brown Universtiy and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Bonnie - That is not a song you want to ever hear again is it?

Kathy - Oh, that one is something if you can't find is something that is worth just going out and buying again!

Mary - The best part is they don't know they are funny, it just comes out naturally.

Larry - Yeah, that isn't going to happen... I have close to 15,000 records and if she can't find something in there than she is just out of luck.

Mary - I know, her sister is even freakier, she can touch her nose with her tongue.

Sean - It is on its way already and daddy can't wait to hear it either.

Morgan - It is like the Beatles, you just can't help but tap your feet to their music.

Huiting - She is my most outgoing child...She loves to be on stage, but she then gets shy when it is one on one with a stranger. Haven't figured that out yet, but maybe she will grow out of that.

Fran - I wouldn't worry about it, AC/DC has some sexual overtones to some of their music, but the one I'm guessing he will download is Thunderstruck and it is just an awesome song that they play at sporting events.

Lara - We have a special CD made for those long trips and those are the best trips, because everyone in the car is singing.

Kara - As soon as she is old enough, we are certainly going to one!

Charles - ROFL, I'm sorry, but that is funny. Good song, but too funny. I'm glad she turned out all right!

When I was in grade school, we used to spend an inordinate amount of time drawing pictures of the guys from KISS.  I had another cool advantage, because my last name was Simmons back then.  I was legally adopted by my stepdad with that last name, but after my mom and he divorced when I was about 14, my grandmother really wanted me to return to my birth name, so I did.  It was good when people would think of Gene Simmons, but not so good when they thought of Richard Simmons!

You are not alone! When my youngest was 16 months old, she would hum the beginning to Thunderstruck! Just this morning she was singing Dirty Deeds while brushing her hair and she I love the new AC/DC album.

OK, so I have three boys, 9, 11 and 13.  One of the huge benefits to having kids later is that they think the music that was cool when I was in high school is extremely cool now.  It cracks me up to hear their AC/DC ring tones, the Aerosmith songs while they're doing homework and even a little Led Zeppelin!  I have to turn down the stereo in the SUV when I drop them off at school...if it's too loud, you're too old!

Rock on,

Lisa VonBargen

Clint - You may have, but only time will tell!

Jason - Oh, you had to go there with Richard Simmons didn't you?

Alisha - Thanks, she was just being a ham for the camera and it worked so well for this post.

Anita - Maybe you can get her that new tooth brush that plays AC/DC when you brush your teeth.

Lisa - ROCK ON!     IF IT'S TOO LOUD, YOU'RE TOO OLD! What did you say something, can you speak up.
