I have made many new friends in the blogishpere in the past six + months I have been on AR.  Two have really stood out as an inspiration to me.  Richard Weisser has an artistic touch with photographs and encourages/inspires me to charge the batteries in my camera.  I no longer leave home without my Cannon in hand.  Who knew I would enjoy taking pictures?  Will I ever measure up to his abilities?  Maybe or maybe not.  However, I know he likes trains and I couldn't resist stopping the car and taking this pic for him!

The engineers stopped for a burger while I grabbed this shot!

C Tann-Starr is also an inspiration to me.  She juggles a busy lifestyle with work and family but always has time to offer encouragement and her knowledge of legal ease.  I love her turtle runs and it inspires me to post blogs about anything I want.

Chelsea and Siggy were happy to take a road trip.  They are going to love the minions!

"Thanks guys!  I really appreciate your influence."  I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way.

Melody, I confess that I also take my camera every where and I was inspired by the Beat the Heat contest last summer to try and take better pictures! Thanks for the post. I will have to check out Richard, I already know about Carolyn and admire her writing and art!

You know I feel the same as you.  Whenever I think of great pictures I think of RW & CTS.  Chelsea & siggy are way too cute!  Where did the name Siggy come from?  KM

I'm pretty new in the Rain, but I've already run across both of these Rainers and subscribe to their blogs (yours as well) and I agree, they do offer inspiration with their writings. How wonderful of you to take the time to write this! ~A:)

Hey, that was kinda like the friendship ball without the pressure of passing it on!  I too have met the best people in the Rain.  I love that people are generous just for the sake of being so.  I take my camera everywhere now too!  You just never know when some eye candy will pop up!

KM- That's pretty funny.  Robert Swetz is also a great photographer here on AR.  You know how you hold on to some of those childhood friends that never seemed to mature much?  Well, I adopted Sigmund from a friend who had named him after a domestic beer.  I felt he deserved something better.  It has been eight years so I think he is used to the change by now.

Forgetting someone???

No?

Oh, okay.

I would like to add that Richard and Carolyn are two of my favorites as well.  Richard adds something to the party that just makes it pleasant and fun to attend.  C is funny, smart, helpful and very, very nice.  You, my dear Mel, are a hoot and I love you.

Very nice tribute Mel. "C" is one of the most helpful folks on AR and I don't think she ever sleeps.

Richard and his photography skills have now got me thinking about a new camera and some practice.

My dad worked for the railroad so I always enjoy train pictures.

Cameron- You may not need a new camera.  Just keep taking shots until one looks good or your editing software can make it look good.  Trains are cool.

Mandi- You would really like her!

Erik- You can never have too much good Karma.  I saw you posted and I will go check it out!

Melodious,my love, I apologize for not macking the phone with you lately. I've been trying to be a good girl and get a few things done. They are putting down fiber optic lines over here so sometimes I am off line dealing with the growing pains of an all digital mandate (LOL). My kids are crazy, hubby is crazy and I must confess to having a screw or two loose lately. Having self-directed Minions will do that (LMAO). BTW, Melly-Mel: Phone tag, you're it! Skype me, bay-bay! Sometimes I have to hear things over and over again before they sink in.  I need to START TAKING MY CAMERA WITH ME IN THE CAR!!!  I can no longer use the excuse that it is just too hard or too complicated to figure out how to get the pics off the camera.  Things are just too easy these days!! I'm gonna do it!!
