Remember, the bank owned condos will be a quicker transaction. In either
case, you can get a good deal if you are willing to do a little work
yourself - the sellers and banks are usually not willing to make repairs.

Your pictures remind me of the paradise Maui is. I've been to Hawaii several times, but not in recent years. I know now, I must visit again soon.
Carole - I'm glad you think they're low - it all depends what market you're coming from
Sharon - HOA fees range from about $350-1000/month
Myrl - you can get some really good deals this winter season - occupancy rates are down
$1000 a month - - -WOOOOOW - - - It is paradise, but wow is paradise expensive!
Impressive list for homebuyers... but an unfortunate list, indeed. I sure hope this market turns around soon.

Hard to believe the RE market dive has had an effect on such a beautiful place...
