Open houses gave me my start to buyers outside my own family. I know some agents that love it an others that really don't like it. There are a few basic tips that make the day go well.
Have a open house bag ready to go for last minute opportunities with- purchase and lisitng agreements, with water, business cards, flashlight, tape measure, kleenex, and open house log with lead in signs in your trunk.
If you have time you can place a free ad in the easy reader for open house or call the daily breeze before 10 on Friday and it is a nominal charge.
Be sure to put on MLS that it is open.
Be positive and greet each guest as a guest welcome them

You are on stage for neighbors who will want to sell they come to look at the house and how you are doing.
