This was the first year that I ever went to a NAR Convention/Expo. It was a two hour drive from Gainesville to Orlando - so hey, why not just go? My goal was to experience the information "OVERLOAD" at all the booths AND to begin the face-to-face meetings with some excellent Active Rain members !
I was just there for the day on Saturday, and couldn't stay for the Active Rain Get-Together at Hard Rock that night.....(I wish I could have been there) - so.......my goal was to search for the AR Dudes running around in Active Rain T-Shirts.! I could've sworn Brad said they'd be "easy to find on the Expo floor". But that was a harder task. It was very hard to find the lurking Active Rain dudes without Twitter.
No luck.....but......
I did remember that Jeff Turner would be at the Chase booth giving a presentation for the Real Estate Shows.
All the people at the CHASE booth were worried I was a stalker.....as I just hung around for Jeff to arrive. I consider Jeff an "online celebrity"!
But hey....I finally met an Active Rainer mentor - in person!!
Jeff told me that I had missed the bigger get together nearby and he rushed me back over to try to get a intro to Brad, Rich, Bob, Jonathan.
But I had just missed them, they had all headed out and about. I didn't have my NAR Twitter up and running.....
BUT.......I did get to meet some other Active Rainers.
It's really nice to meet people in person!
It was nice to meet Missy and Katerina - and hey got a photo with them too - just for my blog.
It was nice to meet up with Active Rain bloggers that I consider to be community builders and MENTORS for the Active Rain network.
I wish I couldn't found more of you there, or stayed longer for the Party! I wish I could have met you all. Midori's post was great to read today - wish a could've met you all.
But is was great !
I will make better plans next time!
I hope an Active Rain Member wins the Car !!
