Toledo Ohio is Recycling, Sign Up To Go & Save Green!

Hey folks, Toledo, Ohio is recycling!  On Friday March 30^th , Toledo City Council adopted a 2007 city budget that included a $5.50 trash pickup fee for all homeowners.  The good news is that you can save $2.50 per month by signing up to recycle!  This new law is retro active to April 2^nd when Mayor Carty Finkbeiner signed it into effect.

In order to qualify for the discount citizens must sign up to recycle.  I’d recommend the online method which takes less than a minute, (providing you have water bill handy). Otherwise you can pick up a Recycling starter kit which includes:

1. A sign up card
2. Stickers for your recycling container.
3. The calendar of pickup days.
4. The list of Do’s and Don’ts of Recycling.

1. All Public Libraries
2. All Krogers Supermarkets
3. All Andersen Stores

Deadline to signup is June 1st, so in order to take advantage of the discount, click here and pick up a recycling kit!  There's nothing we can do about this additional tax now, but we can lessen its' blow and do something positive for our environment!
