Hello Everyone,

Is it me or are there as many as 90% of individuals out there who claim to have REO inventory or Asset Portfolios full of crap?  I know there are a substantial amount of frauds who are attempting to jump on the wagon with the current real estate climate, however, WOW, they are a half step from criminal fraud.

I have spent countless hours trying to locate genuine groups who can actually produce a tape.  I thought getting a buyer up and running was difficult, but again, WOW!  I am absolutely amazed on how many people out there are trying to take advantage of a horrible situation.  They are getting so sophisticated to even get all of the appropriate documents, Non Competes, Proof of Fund request and Letters of Intent with the only intensions of attempting to acquire your client.  Notice I said "attempt".  Can't get anything past this old retired police detective, or can you?  Sometimes I wonder if I am being too much of a cop and not just realizing the person on the other end is simply feeling me out as well because they too have had the same horror stories.  Either way, it has become more of a task each day.  However, do you remember when you first started in Real Estate and you damn near broke your big toe diving for the cell phone, thinking it was that Million Dollar client or someone who actually wanted to speak to you because you just got your real estate license? Well, in the REO world it is almost the same, all you need is that Multi-Million dollar tape and your set until the next time the phone rings.

However, when it does ring again, don't get too cocky and say, " Oh they'll leave a message" ( You know, you got that big commission check, so now you work 11-2, (with an hour and a half for lunch) Tuesday, Wednesday and maybe Thursday.)

Folks, all I am trying to say is, "Can We All Get Along," (sounds familiar) and get a deal done without playing cops and robbers?"

If anyone has any suggestions of streamlining the process, please let me know.

Thank You,

Kyle,

My company does not have one short sale or forclosure listing in our inventory and we have a considerable amount of inventory.  So I am not one of them.....and proud not to be..,.,.

Kyle,

Sometimes I am very frustrated in dealing with agents who will not return calls and then make major demands throughout the entire transaction. It can be very difficult but as long as professionalism and taking care of our clients remain top priority, we can all muddle through to the next closing.

Kyle, unfortunately in this business there are several not so honest folks, but I truly believe for the most part, most Realtors like myself, take pride in being honest and hard working and do what we can to help not hurt fellow agents.  I truly believe what comes around goes around and would rather be the person who gets lied to or taken advantage of then the person who does the lying or other dishonest act.

Hi Kyle - I am a very honest person and do quite well that way and do not know how some people sleep at night while conducting their business unprofessionally and in some cases, unethically.  Luckily I do not come around these agents very often but yes it is frustrating and has put me in some uncomfortable situations.
