Behind My OfficeIt's not quite a winter wonderland yet but we received our first snowfall today! And here's the approximate snowfall results....

Show Low, Arizona- 1 inch

Pinetop, Arizona- 1.5 inches

Snowflake, Arizona .5 inches

I love the snow and can't wait for our first sledding trip! It is the perfect opportunity to play hooky from work and spend time with the family. Of course an all day sledding day is the only way to go complete with hot chocolate, hot dogs and roasted marshmallows!!

Alright, I have heard of snow, but I don't see it very often. In fact, I can't remember the last time it snowed here.

We haven't gotten much snow yet and even though I am from Colorado, I prefer the summer months!

Our weather is similar in the way that it changes often. It may start off hot and humid, but wait a while, and it will be really hot and humid. Then we get about three months of a mild Winter.

SNOW?

WOW!

I've seen snow twice in my life. Okay, maybe like four times. 2 years ago we had some sleet that "stuck" It's soooo funny. Schools shut down, buses stopped their routes, the media was everywhere, free ways were shut down... can you telll we don't know how to deal with frozen anything in Houston unless it's a frozen margarita? ha ha.

A snow of that magnitude would have closed down my little patch of America for close to a week!

Patricia- We get less snow then you do and it winter doesn't last that long!

JL- I can't stand the heat anymore....it makes me sick. No really physically ill and I swell up so bad that I can't even wear my wedding rings. I love winter!

Greg- Well you can't beat knowing how to handle frozen margaritas! I grew up in Willcox (southern AZ) and it was the same thing there.....I think it snowed twice!

Skye- Yeah it's just too hot in Fountain Hills for me....but it sure is nice during the winter! I hope you have a good vacation here....I'll be in Tucson but Nan will be at the office and she would love to see you. You should stop by!

Craig- You'd probably be the crazy guy running around in snow boots! They'd probably put you on TV!

Trey- It is so much fun! (I think I have way more fun then the kids) I'm looking into a horse drawn sled ride this year too!

We've barely been down to freezing in Payson. The leaves are still pretty here. It has been really unusually warm this Fall.

Mandi, Thanks for the picture! My wife wife longs for snow... although, we don't see much of it down here in Tucson... Me personally, I love the warm weather in Arizona! There's always something to do outside!

Kurt- I love AZ for this  very reason.....I can go visit warmer weather in just a few short hours when I get tired of the snow. You should bring her up here when the snow really falls....I'm sure she'd love it!
