Hey! I have had more calls and showed more homes since this last Weds, than in the entire last month. People trying to lease and purchase homes. Has anyone noticed any change in the last week?
I'm feeling it too - I've got 4 closing this month! I guess all that hard work during the quiet summer months is paying off!
HUGE increase in the market! Last weekend - zero calls. This past weekend - 8. Whether it's a false sense or not, there is confidence back in the market!

I can't say my business is any differnt than a week ago. I am still getting the same amt of calls.
Lisa,
YES. I have had a wonderful week. I am so glad to hear it is spreading throughout the country! Thanks for posting.
Hi Lisa, I have noticed more activity, in fact my buyer of 3 years wrote on something, finally. :)
Not much change in our area, except that REO's are selling like hotcakes and for much more than list price... I guess that is probably good. Maybe we can finally see light at the end of the tunnel:)
Hi Lisa - good for you! I have actually seen a change in the slower kind of way. It hasn't happened yet for us (and I shouldn't say it out loud) but hope it's only a 2 week thing. KM
I have a buyer who put in an offer Thursday, after a year and a half of thinking. But the showings on my listings have been quieter than usual.
It's been this way for a moth or so here in kentucky. But then again we haven't slowed down too much because of foreclosures.
Lisa, there has not been any change around here. The large loses in the Stock Market for two days after the election was not good news and the rates have not reacted well either. Hard to build confidence when all the news seems to be about new taxes the the incoming President is planing. Today's news of a proposed new gas tax isn't going to help the economy either.
Things are definitely picking up. My agents are saying it and I've had some contracts accepted and we're moving on. Hopefully, it will continue.
This is not an endorsement of Obama or the great things I think he is going to do or not do. What I think is after any big election, people seem to ease up, and you know what they say perception is more important than reality, and if people think a new administration is going to change everything, they might loosen up their purse strings.
Lisa, actually has dipped a little here. With the Soldiers returning this month and next it should pick up dramatically.
