TODAY IS VETERAN'S DAY!
It is a day to remember all of the men and women who now serve our country and make sacrifices so that we can remain free!
Verteran's Day is a day to thank all of the men and woman who have died, become wounded or disabled.
My broker's son, Tim, is now on his fourth tour of duty in Iraq. For the past 4 years, he has been home for only 3-4 months and has spent Thanksgiving and Christmas in Iraq, far away from his family.
His wife and children have scarified as well. Tim is one of many veterans who has repeatedly volunteered to spend time in Iraq to keep the the peace and to ensure our freedom at home!
To Tim and his family, and all of the families who have given so much, we pray for a speedy return and for peace in the world! We thank you and your families for sacrificing so much.
It cannot be denied that although we can become passionate during the election process, once the election is over, our great country comes together.
One of the hallmarks of our great democracy is the transition of power from the out-going President to the President elect as we witnessed yesterday when President Bush welcomed President elect Obama.
America is not perfect, but it is the greatest democracy in the world and for this we say THANKS today.
If you have not done so, please consider making a contribution to one of the Veteran organizations today!
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VETERANS AND GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
