Cynthia- a great post about one of my most favorite days... this, celebrated not with bombast and merriment- but with humble thanks to those who have served us.

Cynthia, I live in a place where Navy ships end up stopping a few times a year and whenever I see any of the Sailors around town, I always tell them thanks. I can't put in to words the pride and true appreciation I feel from them when I say those simple words. THANK YOU!

Cynthia, Beautifully put! I thank and bless ALL of them that have done and are doing so much for our Country.

Cynthia, I was in London last year on Veteran's Day and got to see the poppy displays and all of the citizens wearing their poppies on their jacket lapels...very touching. Also, very encouraging to see so many haven't forgotten about any veterans.

Cynthia, My husband and I never fail to remember our friends who are or were in the military. My former Marine husband was at Quantico National Cemetery yesterday visiting two gravesites of friends of his, Karen
