Never Seen Before WWII Movie Footage | Happy Veterans Day

By
Real Estate Sales Representative with Kennewick Richland (and West) Pasco WA Homes For Sale

Two Colorado bothers discovered raw World War II movie footage shot by their late grandfather and former combat photographer, Albert Fagler. The footage is of the Allied advance in Europe just after D-Day. The footage is raw and was uncut for 60 years! I thought this video an excellent choice for today being Veterans day.

I'll dedicate this blog entry to my husband, Joe. A former United States Marine. Happy Veterans Day!

I heard about this recently discovered film footage this morning and wondered what they're going to do with it. BTW, you blog is beautiful.

That was awesome. I'm a big history buff and I just love it when new history is discovered. It's amazing how it could get lost, but sometimes it was lost on purpose, for whatever reason. It's beautiful when it's found again for all to experience.

watched all 15 minutes of it while multitasaking. Great video with some interesting new looks at morale and battles in the sky. Speaking of, it was quite apparent that it didn't take much to take those planes out of the sky. Those bullets may look like they're going in slowmotion but they leave quite a ripple as can be seen in the 2nd to last clip in the video. Thanks for showing us this. WWI , WW2, Korean war, Vietnam war, Gulf war, etc are all a part of history that we can't afford to forget no matter how much it hurts. Thanks to all those who shed their lives for this great country.
