What Should The "First Dog" Be for The White House?

I just could not resist this one! It popped up in one of those little Yahoo windows I get when I check one of my many (way to many) e-mail addresses!

It IS all the buzz these days....What, or maybe we should say Who will be the new First Dog in the White House come January. Not having allergies, I can't relate to what a challenge it must be to find a pet that will not be a challenge to the children. I'm sure it's a task, to say the least.

So.....I was just wondering what some of you thought about the suggested Peruvian Hairless Dog! Who KNEW there was such a creature?

He looks cute, in his own special way! Hmmm?

What do you think?

I guess he could kinda grow on you after awhile?

I think my dog would have to have hair.

Let's just hope that the search for the new First Dog is not taking away from any other important tasks like..Uhmmmm

The Economy?

Foreclosures?

The Auto Industry?

Hey....we gotta keep our focus, right?

I prefer my dogs. One is a poodle and the other is a shi-tzu. Neither of them shed and they are basically as close as you can get to hypoallergenic. And I think they are cuter, and they have hair, unlike me.

Fred: I'll take another Greyhound, the day I decide to get another dog. January will be 2 years and I still miss Nero!

Now a hairless dog is an oddity to say the least. But he needs love just like the rest of us so why not as First Dog?

Thom--It looks kind of like a goat! Not really cute and cuddly...I would take a cuter dog and allergy meds. :)

Thom & Ray,
I suppose there are advantages to a hairless dog such as no shedding on the carpet, no need to brush but not my cup of tea.  But hey, it's a free country!

I have three dogs, all have hair. However, I'm a sap for interesting looking animals and I really like the looks of that dog. He looks like he would feel like a suede hot water bottle. All soft and warm except with a beating heart. I'm sure the unconditional love is the same.

Ugh! Sorry, but my dog has to, at the least, be cute.

This is Macy.
